As AI continues to transform how this global firm operates, they’re investing heavily in getting ahead of the risks. That’s where you come in.
We’re working with a major player in the quantitative trading space, currently hiring a senior infosec leader to shape and lead how the organisation approaches AI from a security and governance perspective. This is a newly created, high-priority senior IC role.
This isn’t about ticking boxes. It’s about helping the firm make smart, informed, and balanced decisions as AI becomes part of their day-to-day systems, workflows, and products.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own and guide AI security governance – from policy and risk assessments through to high-level architecture guidance.
- Work cross-functionally across business units – partnering with legal, operations, developers, product teams, and others.
- Act as a voice of calm, clarity, and experience in an emerging space where rules are still being written.
- Provide strong judgment around what’s safe, what’s risky, and how to move forward – even when things are ambiguous.
- Bring a clear lens to technical decisions, without needing to be a deep-down coder – but able to hold your own with engineers and architects.
- Help set the tone for how the company embraces AI, responsibly.
What we’re looking for:
- Broad security background – ideally 10–15 years or more across different domains.
- Someone who’s led major transformation work, e.g. on-prem to cloud migration, and understands how to evaluate and integrate new technologies securely.
- Strong experience working across legal, technical, and business teams – with the communication skills to match.
- A builder, not just a policy-writer – someone who’s comfortable operating in a relatively greenfield space.
- Open-minded, curious, pragmatic – you don’t need to be an AI expert, but you do need to be comfortable with the unknown and confident in your ability to learn and lead.
This role reports directly to the CISO and has strong visibility across the firm. It’s a unique opportunity to take the lead on one of the biggest infosec challenges of the decade.
