This role is built for someone who has already been through hyper-growth, not watched it from the sidelines, but felt it. Headcount scaling fast, new offices opening, systems breaking under pressure, and the constant need to automate before things fall over.
You’ll be the first Tech Operations hire in North America, partnering closely with an established UK-based team to help a rapidly scaling, product-led technology company expand globally. You’ll act as the technical owner for the region, with real autonomy to shape how Tech Operations is done as the company grows.
This is a hands-on, technical role for someone who prefers building scalable systems over running tickets, and who thrives in environments where things change quickly and ownership matters.
NYC-based is essential. The role is remote, but you need to be close enough to support offices, people, and growth on the ground.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Designing and automating modern IT and endpoint infrastructure for a fast-growing workforce
- Managing macOS fleets at scale, with an automation-first approach
- Owning identity and access management (SAML, SCIM, OIDC) and enabling secure, fast onboarding/offboarding
- Building and maintaining secure office networks (VPNs, firewalls, Wi-Fi, Zero Trust principles)
- Supporting the technical build-out of new offices in North America
- Implementing and maintaining security and compliance controls (SOC2, ISO27001) in a way that scales
- Acting as the regional technical point of contact, feeding improvements and learnings back into the global Tech Ops function

What You Bring
- Experience in Tech Operations, IT Engineering, or DevOps-adjacent roles in high-growth environments
- Strong macOS management at scale using tools like Jamf, Kandji, or Fleet
- Hands-on scripting experience (Python, Bash, or similar) used to automate device config, security, and compliance
- Deep familiarity with identity and access management (Okta, Google Workspace, SAML/SCIM/OIDC)
- Experience managing office and network infrastructure (e.g. Meraki, Ubiquiti, VPNs, firewalls)
- Proven exposure to SOC2 / ISO27001 or similar frameworks
