We are partnering with a leading financial institution in New York that is building out a new Legal Technology function focused on transforming how attorneys interact with documents and laying the foundation for AI-powered capabilities.
This is a true greenfield opportunity, you’ll play a central role in defining the product function from the ground up, with clear scope to shape strategy, operating models, and team structure as the group scales.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning the product strategy and roadmap for attorney-facing platforms
- Partnering with legal, engineering, UX, and AI teams to streamline document-heavy workflows
- Establishing how products are built and delivered globally (including coordination across U.S. and offshore teams)
- Engaging directly with senior legal stakeholders to translate complex needs into clear product direction
- Embedding product management best practices (prioritization, backlog management, release planning) and helping scale the function
What they’re looking for:
- 10+ years of product management experience with a strong track record of delivering enterprise software. The client would like to see candidates with experience as a practicing attorney to understand the challenges Attorneys face.
- Experience building internal platforms, document management systems, or workflow tools in complex environments
- Exposure to user-centered design and structured product development practices
- Ability to operate in cross-functional environments and influence senior stakeholders
- Prior experience mentoring or scaling product teams is a plus and a JD from a top law school is highly desired
- This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building from first principles, working closely with end users, and identifying where AI can meaningfully reduce manual effort in professional workflows.
