I’ve partnered with a world leading hedge fund looking to add an exceptional Network Engineer to one of its core infrastructure teams.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone with deep networking fundamentals who has operated complex environments where performance, reliability and making the right call under pressure really matter.
You’ll work across BGP, L2/L3, routing, switching and firewalls, combining complex troubleshooting and infrastructure delivery with engineering improvements that make the network more scalable and resilient.
A role at this compensation level will naturally attract a lot of attention, so I want to be clear about the profile. I’m not looking for a Network Engineer who has spent their career operating in general enterprise environments. I need someone who has built their career in trading, hyperscale technology, cloud infrastructure or another genuinely demanding production environment.
What matters is that you’re still deeply technical, you’ve operated networks where the consequences of getting things wrong are significant, and you’re the person others turn to when the problem isn’t straightforward.
Python and network automation experience will differentiate the strongest candidates, but we’re hiring for networking depth and engineering judgement first.
$400k–$500k total compensation and 3 days onsite in New York City per week.
