We are working with a Leading Consultancy in New York, they are looking to bring on a highly motivated and experience legal professional at the Senior Legal Counsel level. This is a pivotal hire for the client to provide law expertise and support within the firm.
Main functions:
- Serve as the firm’s in-house council for the day-to-day operations, conducting thorough legal research to support the vast array of projects.
- Work with Stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Engage and overseas external legal resources where efficiency can be improved, assist in the drafting and reviewing of legal documents to ensure adherence to legal protocols.
- Keep up-to-date knowledge of any changes in the laws and advise the team accordingly.
- Offer counsel with the intake of newly executed contracts and maintenance of of the contract management system, be a strong presence in meetings to discuss project progress.
- Support the management of litigation and administrative matters.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from accredited law school; active admission to the New York State Bar.
- 5+ years either in-house/or at a law firm and prior experience working with a consulting/professional services company
- Global legal experience
- Experienced with DocuSign and ContractWorks
- Highly organized, extremely detail-oriented, autonomous, creative, efficient, and resourceful with strong follow-through.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple deadlines at one time.
