Senior Director, Data Review & Analytics (Breach Response)

Role Summary
A leading advisory firm is looking to appoint a senior leader to head up its data review and analytics capability within breach response operations. This position is responsible for directing large-scale sensitive data review engagements, enhancing analytical methodologies, and ensuring seamless delivery across complex client matters involving data exposure.
Core Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Leadership
– Take ownership of the full lifecycle of sensitive data review and data mining engagements, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, meet quality benchmarks, and align with client expectations.
– Oversee key operational stages including data intake, processing, and review workflows, while identifying opportunities to streamline delivery.
– Act as a senior escalation point for complex data challenges, advising on tooling, workflows, and review strategies.
– Provide oversight across a portfolio of engagements, reporting on delivery progress, risks, and commercial performance.
– Lead, develop, and scale a specialist team, fostering capability growth and maintaining high performance standards.
Partner & Resource Management
– Oversee external delivery partners and review providers, ensuring consistent performance, security compliance, and alignment with internal processes.
– Manage resourcing strategies across global teams, balancing offshore and onshore delivery models.
– Support commercial activities including scoping, pricing, and responding to client requirements.
Process Improvement & Innovation
– Drive continuous improvement of data review methodologies, incorporating both automated data mining techniques and manual review processes.
– Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance consistency in outputs and strengthen integration with wider breach response services.
– Champion the use of emerging technologies, including AI-driven tools, to improve efficiency and accuracy within review workflows.
Stakeholder Engagement
– Work closely with cross-functional teams involved in incident response and client communications to ensure a coordinated approach.
– Maintain strong relationships with clients and legal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication throughout engagements.
Candidate Profile
– Extensive experience in data review, eDiscovery, or breach response environments.
– Demonstrated ability to manage third-party vendors and distributed teams.
– Strong technical understanding of handling large and complex datasets.
– Knowledge of global data protection and privacy regulations.
– Experience working with industry-standard review platforms and cloud-based infrastructures.
– Confident communicator with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
– Proven leadership background within operational or delivery-focused teams.
