I’m working with an exceptionally technical research organisation in New York that is looking for Security Engineers to help secure the computing infrastructure behind some incredibly complex engineering and research.
This isn’t a role for someone whose experience has been limited to operating security products. We’re particularly interested in engineers who understand how large-scale computing infrastructure actually works.
Maybe you’ve secured HPC or GPU clusters. Maybe you’ve spent years around large Linux estates, bare-metal infrastructure or research computing. Or maybe you started as a Linux, systems, infrastructure or platform engineer and gradually became the person everyone came to with the difficult security problems.
The role is deliberately broad. You’ll work across infrastructure security, hardening, vulnerability management, detection, automation and engineering, while solving emerging security challenges around AI and agentic systems — including isolation, execution, permissions and access to sensitive systems and data.
You don’t need to be an AI security specialist. You do need to enjoy getting under the hood, understanding how systems work and solving security problems that don’t necessarily have an off-the-shelf answer.

Hybrid in Manhattan, Tuesday–Thursday. Relocation support available within the US.
