Principal Security Engineer

I’m working with a leading investment firm in New York looking for a seriously strong, hands-on security engineer.

This is effectively a technical leadership role, but they don’t want someone who’s moved away from engineering. They want someone who is still writing production code, designing systems and building security infrastructure.

You’ll take ownership of some pretty complex engineering problems across areas including:

• Identity, authentication & authorization
• PKI, certificates and cryptographic services
• Secrets, credentials and privileged access
• Machine/workload identity and service-to-service authentication
• Security platforms, tooling and automation
• Linux/cloud infrastructure security

They’re particularly interested in engineers who have built these systems themselves, control planes, internal platforms, services, APIs, automation etc. rather than primarily implementing and operating vendor products.

NYC and 4 days onsite.

Compensation is expected to be around $500k-$600k total comp, with no hard ceiling for an exceptional person.
