Linux Platform Security Leader – AI & Infrastructure

I’m working with a world leading quantitative hedge fund in New York looking to hire a deeply technical leader to help shape the security of its Linux platform as AI increasingly changes the infrastructure and workloads running across it.

This isn’t a policy or governance position.

It’s an engineering role for someone who understands Linux and systems security at a deep level, but also has the breadth and judgement to take an ambiguous security problem, understand what needs protecting, decide what should be built versus bought, and turn that into a practical engineering capability.

The environment is heavily Linux-based, with AI workloads becoming an increasingly important part of the security challenge.

We’re interested in people who have experience across areas such as:

• Linux/OS/platform security and hardening
• Kernel and systems security
• Isolation, sandboxing, containers and workload security
• Authentication, identity and privileged access on Linux
• Protecting large-scale infrastructure and production environments
• Security engineering, automation and tooling
• AI/HPC infrastructure or securing AI workloads
• Building or implementing security controls rather than simply defining policy

This is a leadership position, but it remains highly technical. You should still enjoy getting into the detail, investigating difficult problems, challenging assumptions and helping strong engineers determine how something should actually be built.

I’m particularly interested in people who have spent their careers owning difficult technical problems end-to-end and can operate comfortably when there isn’t an obvious answer or off-the-shelf product.
