Freelance Security Engineer

I am working exclusively with a FinTech client of mine who are operating at the forefront of the Blockchain/Web3 space.

I have made multiple successful placements into this team and have a very good idea of what success would look like here.

This hire is for true generalist Security Engineer, someone who will be able to wear multiple hats and support an extremely technical security team.

Requirements:

• 10+ years security engineering experience
• Deep Linux environment security engineering experience
• Experience within Crypto or highly regulated financial environments
• Strong knowledge of systems, networking and network segmentation.
• Experience working within security and regulatory frameworks including SOC 2 and SOX.
• Good understanding of the wider threat landscape and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Understanding of AI and LLM ecosystems and their use within security operations.
• Strong communicator able to translate technical risks into business decisions.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments with an execution-focused mindset.
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams and resolve challenges effectively.

Compensation here is talent lead and I will be able to match your expectations

6 month contract with a great chance to extend.
