Senior Software Engineer x3 – Digital Asset Recovery & Cyber Defense
I’m representing a seed-funded company developing cutting-edge tools to fight crypto crime and digital asset theft. Their elite team of blockchain security experts, cryptographers, ex-DoD technologists, and ethical hackers has taken down some of the world’s most notorious cybercriminals. They’re hiring three Senior Software Engineers to join their mission.
**Important: Candidates must be U.S. Citizens to be eligible for U.S. Top Secret Clearance (current clearance not required, but must meet eligibility criteria).**
What You’ll Do:
- Back-End Ownership: Develop and optimize secure, high-performance solutions for mission-critical applications.
- Scalability & Deployment: Enhance CI/CD pipelines for cloud and on-prem auto-scaling environments.
- AI Integration: Implement artificial intelligence to improve engineering processes and product capabilities.
- Technical Leadership: Drive architectural decisions, data modeling, and security strategies.
- Engineering Excellence: Promote best practices, maintain secure and resilient systems, and mentor the team.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work with blockchain, forensics, and security experts to build cryptographically sound solutions.
- Documentation & Process Improvement: Maintain clear technical documentation and streamline development workflows.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of backend development experience (Python, Rust, or similar) in high-performance, I/O-bound software.
- Expertise in Linux environments with a strong grasp of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced startups, balancing speed and adaptability.
- Strong foundation in modern development practices – CI/CD, containerization, and writing secure, maintainable code.
- STEM degree (Bachelor’s or higher) with expertise in systems architecture and software engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with message queues, databases, and file I/O.
- Strong OS fundamentals and security-focused engineering expertise.
- Background in GovTech, defense, or highly regulated environments.
- Knowledge of blockchain integration and digital forensics.
- Familiarity with TypeScript, OCR, and NLP applications.
Package:
- $150,000 – $180,000 base + Equity

- Flexible work hours (US EST).
