Senior Full Stack Engineer

Our client is an energetic startup built up of strong technologists building innovative Cybersecurity products for digital asset recovery for government and private sector clients.

Their next strategic hire is for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with practical experience in ML. My client operates a lean team, so startup experience is key as is the need to build, ship, and maintain ML solutions independently, with minimal support. My client’s tech stack is approximately 80% Node.js/TypeScript and 10% Python, with all ML work done in Python, but you will also need to work extensively with Node.js/JavaScript/TypeScript.

Please only apply if you are a Senior Full Stack Engineer with practical experience with ML. While cloud ML tools are interesting, most of my client’s ML is built with open source libraries. I would recommend highlighting this when applying.

Responsibilities:

– Develop and optimize new features for digital asset recovery tools.

– Build scalable back-end microservices using modern cloud architecture.

– Design front-end web interfaces with Angular, Node.js, and other leading technologies.

– Collaborate on API development, database design, and containerized deployments.

– Continuously enhance workflows, automate testing, and maintain clear technical documentation.

Required Skills:

– Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 5+ years of software development experience.

– Strong back-end expertise with TypeScript, Python, and Go.

– Proficiency in web development with Angular, Node.js, and NestJS.

– Hands-on experience with relational databases, NoSQL platforms (e.g., MongoDB, Elasticsearch), and AWS infrastructure.

– Experience with CI/CD pipelines, microservices, and API testing tools like Swagger and Postman.

Preferred Skills (Candidates with any of these historically perform the best):

– Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

– Expertise in ML algorithms and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

– Experience with GovTech, highly-regulated environments, or high-growth startups.

– Familiarity with blockchain integration and digital forensics.
