The VP of BD is looking for someone early in their career, certainly familiar with business development and sales, sales tools and sales process. A real willingness to do the sales outbound/outreach, digital outreach, emailing campaigns but perusing new leads. The ability to grow into an account executive role and that understanding of working with clients.
